What a morning! It was fantastic to see so many young families down at the club for our Rippa Rugby “Have a Go” Day.
We were thrilled to welcome over 90 kids aged 4 and 5 who came along to give Rippa Rugby a try — many of them stepping onto the field for the very first time. The energy, smiles, and enthusiasm across the park made it a truly special event.
The focus of the day was simple: fun, participation, and giving it a go. Kids were grouped into small teams, took part in some fun activities, and finished with games — all supported by our amazing coaches and volunteers. For many, this was their first introduction to rugby, and it was awesome to see their confidence grow in such a short time.
A big thank you also goes to our sponsors Ray Mitchell & Christine Willis from Harcourts, who came down to support the day. It was great to have them on-site, encouraging families and helping create such a welcoming environment for everyone involved.
Events like this are a reminder of what junior rugby is all about — community, connection, and creating positive first experiences for our youngest players.
Thanks again to everyone who came along and made the day such a success. We’re looking forward to seeing many of these new faces back on the field this season!
